Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance sanctions governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Provide expert analysis and interpretation of sanctions and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) regulatory requirements, ensuring Binance’s policies and controls remain robust and up to date.
  • Support the design and implementation of compliance monitoring and testing programs focused on sanctions governance within a second line of defence environment.
  • Identify, assess, and document sanctions-related compliance risks across Binance’s global operations, providing actionable recommendations to mitigate these risks.
  • Collaborate closely with Compliance, Legal, and other internal stakeholders to embed sanctions governance and policy standards into business processes and controls.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and internal policy changes globally, evaluating their impact on Binance’s sanctions compliance program and recommending necessary updates.
  • Assist in the assessment and enhancement of the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) risk profile related to sanctions, supporting related projects, policy reviews, and system improvements.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives and knowledge-sharing forums to stay abreast of evolving sanctions regulations, enforcement trends, and industry best practices.
  • Support project management activities related to sanctions governance and policy initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in compliance or financial crime compliance, preferably in an international environment.
  • University degree or equivalent qualification.
  • ACAMS or ACFCS certification is a plus but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills, good writing ability, and sound judgment.
  • Basic understanding of the FCC domain, related processes, and relevant technology.
  • Some experience or interest in supporting strategic initiatives and compliance oversight.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and locations.
  • Pragmatic, energetic, and eager to learn.
  • Demonstrates learning agility with a critical and innovative mindset.
  • Able to build positive relationships and motivate others.
  • People-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Clear and effective communicator, able to explain complex topics simply to help others understand the importance of managing Sanctions & CTF risks.
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders and building trust.
  • Results-driven with a willingness to explore creative solutions.
