Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance & Accounting Specialist!
This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our financial operations in Brazil, in alignment with both local regulatory requirements and Binance’s global standards. You will be the main point of contact for accounting, tax, and regulatory matters, supporting the business in a fast-paced and high-growth environment.
It is important that you bring expertise from BCB / financial regulated business (i.e., Banks, Brokers, Funds or similar) in roles such as Financial Specialist, Accounting & Finance Specialist. Previous experiences in projects like new products, new business, new markets/segments is a differentiator.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes in accordance with local Brazilian regulations — particularly Receita Federal and Banco Central do Brasil — while ensuring compliance with Binance’s global finance policies.
- Collaborate closely with the internal finance team to manage accounting and financial processes, ensuring accurate and timely accounting and tax closing.
- Act as the primary liaison with the external accounting firm, monitoring deliverables, service quality, and outcomes.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Finance/Accounting in implementing upcoming cryptoasset regulations in Brazil, advising on impacts, requirements, and execution plans.
- Monitor, analyze, and ensure accurate and timely submission of all regulatory reports to authorities such as the Banco Central do Brasil and Receita Federal do Brasil (e.g., CADOCs, statutory financial and tax filings).
- Develop and maintain the company’s accounting, operational, and capital policies in line with current regulations, business needs, and Binance’s strategic directives (e.g., capital adequacy policies vs. transaction accounting).
- Track and interpret changes in laws, resolutions, and regulatory instructions related to brokerage and payment activities, ensuring ongoing compliance and regulatory security.
- Oversee and support all tax-related initiatives, including compliance with tax obligations, implementation of tax reform changes, and corporate reorganization or optimization projects.
- Lead external audit activities, ensuring alignment with both regulatory requirements and Binance’s internal policies and practices.
- Drive and support system implementation projects and the launch of new products, focusing on financial and accounting requirements.
- Collaborate with other teams across the company on business process development, monitoring, and continuous improvement (e.g., internal audit, internal controls, policy updates).
- Support Binance’s regional Finance and Treasury teams with inquiries, process adjustments, and compliance initiatives to align reporting and operations with corporate policies (e.g., consolidated results reporting).
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in Controllership, Accounting Management, or Finance for banking, payment, or other regulated financial institutions.
- Strong knowledge in accounting, finance, financial operations, cash management, tax, and payment processes.
- Proven experience in financial products, financial back-office operations, and banking relationship management.
- Previous exposure to core banking systems (preferred).
