Overview

About the Role

  • Prospect and engage Small to Medium Businesses (SMBs) to sign up for an Instacart Business account.
  • Use cold calls and emails to identify new opportunities, drive value, and establish meaningful connections with SMBs.
  • Strong problem-solving, solution mapping and negotiation skills
  • Time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a strong go to market strategy
  • Work independently while collaborating with the team to achieve individual and team objectives.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change
  • A strong desire to learn and grow in the sales field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage SMBs and convey Instacart Business’ value proposition.
  • Partner with leadership to update sales collateral, case studies, and custom ‘stories’ to translate benefits of Instacart’s platform to prospects.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a sales or business development role
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and establish lasting relationships.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with Excel, PowerPoint, CRM systems like Salesforce and adept at conducting data analysis for pipeline building and segmentation.
  • Startup Experience: Background in fast-paced, early staged, innovation-driven company settings where agile and responsive strategies are a norm. Track record of excelling cross-functionally and in a high growth climate.

Compensation and Benefits

Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Please review our Flex First remote work policy here.

Offers may vary based on many factors, such as candidate experience and skills required for the role. This role also includes a Sales Incentive Plan. Please read more about our benefits offerings here.

For US based candidates, the base pay ranges for a successful candidate are listed below:

  • CA, NY, CT, NJ: $56,000 — $62,000 USD
  • WA: $54,000 — $60,000 USD
  • OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, HI: $51,000 — $57,000 USD
  • All other states: $46,000 — $51,000 USD
